Installing mulch on your landscape beds has several benefits. Proper mulching helps retain moisture, keeps weeds out longer, makes plant material stand out and increases your home’s curb appeal.
Having a 3” mulch depth cuts down on weed germination and helps maintain a more constant moisture level for your plants. However, having too much mulch is more of a problem than too little. Excessive mulch can suffocate roots and allows diseases and insects entry into softened bark. Years of accumulated mulch can create a hard shell that will not allow nutrients nor water to reach the roots. Our professional crews have the experience to apply the appropriate amount of mulch for each and every landscape situation.
The proper weeding, pruning and bed clean up done before mulching will produce a more professional result. We cut a 90º wedge to create a crisp and clean edge, separating the turf from the landscape beds.
We offer all types of mulch for landscaping. Don’t know which type of mulch is for you, view our sample pictures below.
